Save on the Birch Aquarium’s Seaside Concert Series

Summer may seem a long way off, but it's never too early to save some money in these tough economic times. Right now and until Jan. 31, members of the UCSD community can purchase a season pass to the five-show Green Flash Seaside Concert Series at Birch Aquarium for $60 per person, a 20 percent savings off the regular price.

Concert organizers are working on the 2009 line-up, and they already have commitments from local Americana music queen Eve Selis and San Diego favorite Steve Poltz. The remaining schedule will be announced this spring.

The live concerts take place on the Birch Aquarium’s Tide Pool Plaza, with stunning ocean views. Concertgoers also can enjoy food and specialty beers and wines. Season passes are transferable, but non-refundable. To purchase, call Birch Aquarium at Scripps at (858) 534-4109.  

Concert dates are: Wednesdays - May 20, June 17, July 15, Aug. 19 and Sept. 16, 2009. Showtime is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Concerts are restricted to patrons 21 and over.
