Professor Emeritus Wins Super Senior Golf Championship

Dr. Stephen Shuchter is the new Southern California Super Senior golf champion.

Stephen Shuchter, a professor emeritus of clinical psychiatry who recently retired from the UC San Diego Medical Center, has won the Super Senior Championship tournament of the Southern California Golf Association.
 
The event, held at the Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, was open to the top players 65 years and older from throughout Southern California. Shuchter, who won the tournament with rounds of 76 and 72, is also champion of the UC San Diego Casual Golf Club, an organization of faculty, staff, alumni and student golfers from the UCSD community.
