More than 600 alumni athletes returned to campus last weekend for UC San Diego’s Homecoming 2011, highlighted by Saturday’s All-Athlete BBQ in the Track & Field Stadium and Sunday morning’s Championship brunch which feted three teams celebrating national championship anniversaries. Those three were the 1991 Men’s Soccer team, the 1992 Women’s Water Polo team and 2001 Women’s Soccer team. Pictured here is Coach Denny Harper and members of the women’s water polo team.

A reality-based Brazilian TV series called Viagem Sem Fim (Endless Journey) visited the campus to interview Amanda Sefidvash, a UC San Diego student from Brazil. In each episode, seven Brazilian actors visit the best places to visit and UC San Diego was one of their stops as one of the best places to study in the world.
