Welcome to the UC San Diego Visitors Tour Program The UC San Diego Visitors Tour Program offers free tours to area residents, new faculty and staff, first-time visitors to our campus and the general public. These 90-minute Sunday afternoon tours are led by knowledgeable adult volunteer guides who are eager to show you the most notable features of our beautiful campus. We offer two types of tours:
All tours begin at the Gilman Entrance Information Center. Architectural Tours Return in 2012 On the fourth Sunday of each month, visitors can take a special campus tour to learn about the innovative design and remarkable growth of the university since its founding in 1960. These 90 minute bus tours begin at 2 p.m. at the South Gilman Information Pavilion. The tour includes stops at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Birch Aquarium and an overview of the main campus. Click here to request a reservation. Special tours for large groups can be arranged for any day of the week. For more information, call (858) 534-4414 or email visitorsprogram@ucsd.edu.
