Osher Lifelong Learning Institute to Hear Dr. Gerry Graf on Medicare's New Part D Prescription Drug Coverage

Dr. Gerry Graf will present: “Navigating the Pitfalls of Medicare’s New Part D” to the University of California, San Diego’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute on Monday, December 12, 2005. The presentation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on the UCSD Extension campus at the Rubinger Center , Room 122, located at 9600 North Torrey Pines Road and Muir College Drive.
Dr. Graf, who is a pharmacist in 5 states including California , will clarify the confusing details of Part D as many Medicare recipients face important decisions that could result in serious and large monetary impacts regarding their prescription drug coverage. Included in the topics Dr. Graf will address are: what is Part D and what it is not; how to analyze, compare and contrast the various choices offered; maximizing Part D benefits; and the critical issue of timing decisions about whether to chose this new benefit or not.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UCSD is a self-directed, self-supported adult education program presenting a broad range of learning opportunities and operates as an integral part of UCSD Extension consistent with the high standards of the University of California . On average the program includes over 100 courses, tours and social events each year. There are no grade requirements – just the requirement to learn for pure enjoyment.
