April 3, 2017 — In an era of wall-building, UC San Diego is creating links between the university and the marginalized communities straddling the U.S.-Mexico border. Now, a grant of $1 million from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation will help advance the Cross-Border Community Stations project, spearheaded by professors Teddy Cruz and Fonna Forman.

March 24, 2017 — Among UC San Diego’s distinguished faculty, they are standouts in their chosen fields. The six winners of the 2017 Faculty Excellence Awards are educators and scholars who are passionate about pushing boundaries as they seek to create new ways of thinking and inspiring the next generation of trailblazers. They will be recognized by the Chancellor's Associates at a ceremony on April 6.
