Strength in Numbers

Down for a little Triton 5K friendly competition? For several years running, “Team Race Condition” from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering has consistently taken the top spot as the team with the largest number of registered members—including last year’s come-from-behind win, beating out teams from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the School of Global Policy and Strategy.

But a quick look at registration numbers so far shows Global Policy and Strategy’s “GPS Globetrotters” is the team to beat. “Team Race Condition” and Electrical and Computer Engineering’s “Team ExCEL” are right behind, guaranteeing a “photo-finish” to see which one will come out on top this year.

If the “GPS Globetrotters” have anything to say about it, they’ll be the newly minted champions come race day. Recruitment is solid across the board, and organizers of each team are going all in with official T-shirts and runner’s gear to unite them April 9. At this point, though, it’s literally anyone’s—or should we say any team’s—game.

Who will win Largest Overall Team? Who will win Top Fundraising Team? It could very well be yours!
