After a festive reception, UC San Diego’s Academic Senate presented the 2013 Distinguished Teaching Awards to 10 campus scholars in a formal ceremony. Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla, Paul Pickowicz of the Committee on Senate Awards, and Kit Pogliano, vice chair of the Academic Senate, were featured speakers for the event, held Thursday in the Ida and Cecil Green Faculty Club. It celebrates its 30-year anniversary June 6 through 8, during Alumni Weekend. Campus Black Resource Center Opens

On May 29, Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla and Linda S. Greene, vice chancellor for equity, diversity and inclusion, joined members of the Black Student Union and the campus community for the Black Resource Center opening celebration. Students will be able to hold critical conversations, obtain resources and commune with peers in the newly-designed space on the second floor of UC San Diego’s Old Student Center.

SANDAG to Hold Open House on New Trolley Extension to UC San Diego Campus

The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) will host an Open House from 3 to 6 p.m. at The Forum in Price Center East on June 10 to discuss and receive feedback on plans for a trolley extension project. The Mid-Coast Corridor Transit Project will extend the San Diego Trolley Blue Line (light rail) from the Santa Fe Depot downtown to University City and the UC San Diego campus. Read More »
